'Seaside town'. 30" x 20"
Acrylic on canvas.
30" x 20" x 1.5" (76 x 51 x 3.8cm approx)
What inspired this painting?
Growing up in Norfolk, the seaside was a favourite place to go. Now these little seaside towns are struggling to survive. One thing some face is tidal surges causing flooding and washing homes in to the sea. Another problem is that surrounding villages are losing their population and communities due to people buying the quaint houses as holiday homes.
In this piece, angular shapes and structures encroach on the space creating an almost claustrophobic arrangement. I have used a mix of painting and scraping which causes some areas to look almost three dimensional.
with it's blues and orangey browns it would suit most warm, cool or neutral colour schemes. It would also work with most styles of design whether it be modern or more traditional.
Painted with good quality Winsor and Newton acrylic paints.
This piece has been painted on a gallery style canvas. There is no need for it to be framed unless desired.
As always I have done my best to match up colours accurately. However, they may be slightly different to what you see on your screen due to differences in screen displays.
Please note the size of the painting before purchase thank you.

Price will vary depending on your packing and delivery choices.
When you select a postage option from the dropdown menu, the price of the painting will appear at the top of the description. No extra postage will be added at checkout.
If you live in another country and are interested in a painting, please feel free to contact me personally at jasminefarrowart@gmail.com and I will be happy to work out an individual quote for you. If you live in Norfolk it might be worth emailing me. If you live around the Norwich area We may be able to deliver to you and cut postage.
Paintings packaged in cardboard boxes will be wrapped in acid free glassine paper and biodegradable or recycled bubble wrap for extra protection.
Crated paintings are delivered in a wooden crate made by specialists. The crate is lined with a protective foam or polystyrene layer. This will need unscrewing on arrival.
The wooden crates are more expensive but offer a much higher level of protection, especially for larger pieces. I offer two levels of packaging so my customers can decide if they would like to spend that extra money on a bit more piece of mind. I have sent paintings both abroad and within the UK using boxes and crates without any problems. I take pride in packaging my art in the most safe and secure way possible. Please understand that I cannot be held responsible for the delivery service or any accidents the delivery may face. This is why I recommend Wooden Crate postage for larger pieces.
The delivery prices have been calculated by adding the costs of having the crates made or the packaging I use, to the shipping cost. I get no extra money from recommending a crated delivery.
